Many newer drones are designed in a triangle-like delta wing configuration. An example is the Iranian Shahed-136, tho these are mostly used for kamikaze strikes, not surveillance/recon. Your description of the drone sounding like a helicopter probably precludes it from being an extra-terrestrial design, but you ever know. 🙂 I believe these drones are from the U.S. military and all of this is a widespread exercise they don't want to (and may never) disclose.
