Dark Repulser Uploading! ETA a couple of hours

Holy Moly. The video came in at like 1 hour 40 minutes. Happy Memorial day to my American Friends! Spent all week editing, finished last night, hit "export" and went to bed. So this video has everything up to and including my disaster painting it, my good friend James Evans is a painter (art) and he is going to attempt to paint it. He lives on the island so I can physically harangue him about it. He's already started on that too. When that's done I'll upload a separate video of his efforts. ALSO THE LIVESTREAM. Because of memorial day and my daughter being in a parade and stuff I won't be back at this computer until 3pm, so the livestream will be a little late today!

Comments

Longtime subscriber (7 years probably), previously on Patreon, had to quit, just recently returned to being a supporter on Patreon, so maybe here my comment will be more visible: I understand that you're splitting the main build video into chunks to generate a more constant weekly activity (as opposed to a spike once a month), but for me it worked the other way around. Because I really enjoy and only wanted to see the whole thing from start to finish I would skip all the intermediate parts until the end. But because I skipped 4 videos in a row from your channel and ignored them completely, the algorithm assumed (not unreasonably) that I wouldn't want to watch part 5 either. So my engagement with your videos dropped from 100% of videos within 12-24 hours of upload, to ~50% of your videos (them being in bits actually made me want to skip ahead much more than in a long one) and with weeks of delay. Hope I made sense with all of this. P.S. Before any pitchforks are raised for the algorithm not promoting videos from subscriptions, I have about 200 channels to which I have subscribed over the years, so it is truly necessary for YouTube to filter them as well.

You know I had that thought when I was doing it, there'd be some people who'd love it but I think it would drive a lot of people mental.

I think the filler for the lost sound is even better than the real sound. Can you do a whole video like that ? Being serious, but then again I'm a silly person.
