the thing is that there more efficient users, physical users are a bit low for this instance, we have Mlem with a hybrid sword build. we have Samson who is lvl 5 and has low lvl skills as of yet. then we have Carten who I think is an efficient tank. The melee part of a team is doing most of the heavy lifting and the mages help when needed, seems to be the usual setup for an adventure party. the problem here is that the mages has to do a bigger part of the carry because they have with them 2 lower dmg melee users. Also the mages are able to spend more mana because they have someone like Rain who can increase the amount of mana they get.

2020-09-23 15:55:18 +0000 UTCI particularly enjoyed SS showing other mages dealing with mageburn. Good to see everyone is kinda in the same boat there, and it's not just Rain looking like a buffoon. Though, I have to say, mageburn feels odd to me. Like...it's a consequence of humans limited understanding of the system rather than an 'intended' aspect of the game(?). Just like how Soulspace run tangent to some 4th dimension Rain eventually learned to navigate in, I feel as though there's a very small puzzle piece missing from our understanding of Skills.

2020-09-22 23:45:47 +0000 UTCAbsolutely love the interactions of the characters in Delve. I love how different the characters are and how their very different backgrounds & perspectives affect the detail of interactions; it really enhances the enjoyment in seeing their adventuring party's dynamics, strategic & social - good & bad (>_<)

2020-09-22 13:02:13 +0000 UTCDylan raises a good question. How long does a typical lair delve take when there's no mana battery? That would be a good metric to compare and contrast during our powerscaling discussion.

2020-09-21 00:39:05 +0000 UTCThis lair has been great!
2020-09-20 17:55:47 +0000 UTCI see him stepping into a lieutenant roll (going with rain as the captain.) Maybe the lieutenant of marines given his focus on sword fighting. I would expect Kettle to make an attempt at taking captain before Samson.

2020-09-20 16:53:15 +0000 UTCHm... I wonder if Samson is going to try and take leadership from Rain later on.

2020-09-20 16:40:50 +0000 UTCI hope Rain uses this chance to study the Blue. It could give him some hints about the nature of essence.

2020-09-20 14:31:26 +0000 UTCβHow was a normal party even supposed to deal with this? If not for having our own personal mana fountain, this would have taken us days." I feel ya Val, it's taking us weeks. *just a joke, love the story. Lol*
2020-09-20 14:08:54 +0000 UTCGreat chapter. I love Rain's new weapon MATH! Also does anyone else see samson as Takeshi Yamamoto? (From reborn)

2020-09-20 06:37:51 +0000 UTCI was starting to wonder if you made Rain an OP programmer protagonist. Good to see his scripting fail every now and then, it makes whatever magical coding language he invented more human, or something.

2020-09-20 06:19:17 +0000 UTCFor real. Senescent can you please quit your job and write us 3 chapters a week? Pretty please? A week is too long a wait!

2020-09-20 06:02:24 +0000 UTCblues are supposed to be rare so its unlikely to have so many more in a single low level dungeon. more importantly, a whole party can all be awakened from a single blue and parties cap at 8 people. Remember in the Fells? Rain awakened 6 people from that 1 blue. So if by chance there were 9 more blues that would mean 72 awakened people excluding destroying the core. which would be crazy
Grey Kylia
2020-09-20 05:58:25 +0000 UTCyeah that would make the most sense. 8 with the blue and 6/7 from destroying the core would be quite the boon for Ascension. (6/7 is assuming at least 1 but probly 2 people [rain/amelia] to escort the non-awakened)

2020-09-20 05:55:05 +0000 UTCGreat POV chapter. It moved the main story forward while adding to Samsonβs character.
