Well this whole story is kind of about numbers lol. Its just difficult for me to keep seeing what high levels characters can do to eff everything up and not see Rain actually get better. If he wants to help people in this world he has to realize by now might makes right here. Democracy is not possible unless you can force it ironically. One silver ranker can destroy an entire city protected by a gold, then here is Rain trying to teach people how to vote. Its just like, come on...

yeah things make sense in Delve. That's one of the things that makes it so great, it's always internally consistent. In a world where people murder for access to lairs, Rain getting a random blue out of nowhere to break his cap every time he's stuck for a little bit would be poor writing, no matter how well it's explained away. You've gotta work for it.

I have nothing to say other than I empatheticly disagree with Regnal and that the complaining like it on the last few chapters is really beginning to get on my nerves. Just because its LitRPG doesn't mean it has to revolve around numbers going up.

I think the stopping of growth makes sense. In other stories they never quite explain why everyone else's growth stagnates while the protagonist gains a level or two a week. Delve kind of explains it with chance encounters

It has been over 100 chapters since Rain has leveled. Why did this story start out leveling so quickly, seeming like it was going to be fast paced, to just slow to a crawl and have nothing happen? I don't get it. We've had so much useless slice of life already, can we just get some god damn progression? Shove a blue in at high 20's so Rain can at least have a working build and not be so useless. It has been thousands of pages and MC still can't do anything! I mean wtf kind of story is this? Just level already FFS! At this rate waiting to read for a year probably won't make a difference. They will still just be cuddle fucking in the dungeon, with baby door mat pussy ass Rain whining about his muscles. This story was great with progression and levels. Please bring that back. End rant.

Unless you're into getting topped by Velikah, or trying to get at least a handy from Mariah before being tossed into orbit by Laverro.

Lotsa downers in the comments, but personally I sincerely think Delve is better than ever! We’re delving, exploring the Depths, and it’s more vibrant than I had ever expected! Rain is getting buff af from the accolades! Ameliah x Rain is so heckin cute! And Rain finally made some concrete progress with his soul problems! Well I know my memory isn’t the best, so maybe it has been better in the past. But I still thoroughly enjoyed the past few chapters, and I look forward to each Sunday, more than any other wnovel. Yeah... I’ll admit I’m not loving the fact that they stopped to camp for several days literally one day into the delve for no reason. If they were at least making progress traveling through the biome I would be perfectly happy to have these character moments, but they’re just... not. Did I miss the reason for why they’re just hanging out and burning through all of their supplies or are they doing it just because they can?

Nothing is happening every chapter. This dangerous dungeon delve turned into a slice of life romantic getaway. Where are all the blue monsters? Shouldn’t it be filled with them? I am hoping for a timeskip because this arc is unbearable.

I'm a long time reader and to me the pacing feels terribly slow. Particularly when you contrast it with how the pacing was early on in the story. Early and current story pacing is so different they almost read as 2 different stories. Early story was mostly about growth and skill discovery. For a long time now the story has been about micro changes in the MC's personality as he adapts to his new world (remember, still been only a few months in story time for him!) + guild building efforts with the occasional battle thrown in. I'm not hating on the current story content per se here (I'd like things to go faster too though its been interesting enough as is) but its quite easy for anyone who is honest with themselves here to see how many are (really have been for some time) experiencing some pacing whiplash here. Release rate is also a part of the issue too I suspect but the author has been at this for a fair amount of time and can't seem to up their publish rate (if anything its slowed down, used to be some mid week releases, hasn't happened for a long time now) so I don't think that will change. Increasing the story pace some might be doable though and probably would make lots of people happier I bet. I'm not the author though so this latter part in particular is all very IMO.

Pacing is fine, anyone who complains about it being too slow can find other things to read in the meantime? No one is stopping them. Free world, and all. I'm reading over a dozen novels simultaneously at this point and loving it lol

Early on in the Story he used to release twice a week. A bunch of Months ago he went to Sunday Only. If cost more than 2.50 to Sub I'd drop it and only read every couple of Months, it feels to me the stroy has stagnated for Months. Its not as bad as another story I read with a Main character Named Rain that I check in on every few Months to see if anything notable has actually happened, but its starting to feel like a story best read once every couple of Months. Rain Hasn't progressed in Months, he has got all these weird issues that no one else in the world seems to have with Stats or his Soul that he somehow broke. Its been Months and I assume he's on his way to fixing it I just hope it gives him some kind of benefit after, way too much time has been spent on it for him to just go back to the same as everyone else if he doesn't.

This is moving so slowly, and others have made points about issues with the writing (e.g. all the characters having the same voice except for Tallheart, idiot ball moments...). I'm sure the pacing is fine if you read it all at once, as a book, but week-by-week, it's excruciating. I'm cancelling for at least ~6 months or so, or until/if the release rate goes up. I mean, jeez, I've just checked the numbers and the author's making at least $5600 a month (lower bound, if everyone's subscribed at 2.50). Given that, he could go full-time, and I 'm sure he'd get a lot more patrons if he bumped the schedule up to, say, 2 chapters a week. But then again- he keeps getting paid as long as the story keeps going, so I suppose there's a perverse incentive there to drag things out. Internet incentive structures are strange things, huh? Well, I'm out for now. Later!

I think it's less superman to darkseid and more a fear that the same thing that happened to Amelia's friend will happen to Rain. That is a more common thought process, seeing faults that you know too well from someone else even if they're not actually there. We don't like to fall for the same thing twice.
