You are on point about this, as always.. I will say that as the rural voters get stereotyped, so the urban voters get stereotyped as well.. what drives this sysystemwide.. simple.. GREED. The farmers I interact with at the local suburban farmers markets.. are generally good peoples, willing to discuss common issues. I always ask them to go home and talk to their neighbors, because they are more trusted than I could ever be.. then I talk to my neighbors who also know me. We are not in agreement.. we are allies.

Thanks for the Tom Paine reference – a reminder to me to read 'Common Sense'. You may not have missed his birthday after all. He was born before the calendar reform of 1750 so his 'new calendar birthday isn't until February 9th ☺️ . Here's what wiki has to say about it: "Paine's birth date is given as January 29, 1736–37. Common practice was to use a dash or a slash to separate the old-style year from the new-style year. In the old calendar, the new year began on March 25, not January 1. Paine's birth date, therefore, would have been before New Year, 1737. In the new style, his birth date advances by eleven days and his year increases by one to February 9, 1737.
