The custard had powdered milk in the mix. Instant custard with water and non instant tastes the same to me.

2024-10-19 13:08:52 +0000 UTCThis is such a fun video idea, I think most Brit doctor who watchers have at some point tried fish finger and custard. Although fish fingers do tend to be at least double the size of what you had, also custard is usually made with milk so idk if the instant stuff with water may have had a slightly different flavour than usual custard. I myself actually really liked it when I tried it, I think the savoury sweet mix appealed to me. But it makes sense most don’t as it is an odd mix. I was 10 when I first tried it and a couple times asked to have it for dinner lol. Also dolly mixtures are supposed to have those jelly sweets. I think the other soft ones are some kind of fondant sweet, so similar to fondant icing on a cake.
