Helloooo everyone! Happy August 😍
I hope you’re all having a lovely start to the month so far:) I want to start off the month with some webtoon sneak-peeks, book recommendations, and my content plans for the week! 📚💗
Firstly, thank you all so much for all the positive feedback on the new tutorial video! 😍 It’s SO cool that many of you are currently working on webtoons of your own 🥰 I want to share more webtoon content here, so I’m starting with a few sneak-peeks from a scene with the male lead :) I love working on his scenes and developing his personality, and I haven’t shown many sneak-peeks of him yet so here you go ☺️
📚Book Recommendations:
Over the last few months I’ve been reading a ton of books since they help me rejuvenate my creativity and relax after drawing. They also have helped me sooo much with thinking of plot points for my webtoon, so I want to give you my 3 recommendations for August! 🌞

Of all the books I’ve read, this one is my absolute favorite so far! I read it in literally a single day because I couldn’t put it down — the fantasy world is beautifully depicted, there’s an interesting mystery throughout, and the love story is SO unique. Such a good book if you want to escape away into a cozy world :) Multiple parts where I screamed at the end of a chapter because some juicy cliffhanger thing would happen and I couldn’t handle it and I had to remind myself to eat and drink water LOL 🥲 It’s part of a trilogy and after finishing it today I actually ran around the house feeling angry that I didn’t have the second book because I NEED to know what happens 😡

Ok I rarely laugh while reading books but this one made me giggle and kick under my blanket multiple times 🥲💗 It’s a super witty office romance and an enemies to lovers situation; such a funny read that will absolutely make you smile guaranteed 👍🏼

I got The Flatshare because I’d heard good things about it and the concept was super unique; two people share an apartment but one person works a day shift while the other works a night shift so they’ve never actually met. They leave notes for each other and slowly start to fall in love, but they’ve never even seen each other so it’s an interesting dynamic. Loved this one :)
Let me know if you have any book recommendations!! 📚
✏️Plans for this week:
I’m currently working on a new wallpaper pack for you guys that has all my drawings from last month! They’re all high-resolution and ready to be used for screensavers 🥰 I’ll share it with you tomorrow! 💕
The other thing I’ve been working on is a new step-by-step tutorial for you! 💗

This one will cover how to create a lens flare effect in your art :) It’s super shimmery and sparkly and looks sooo pretty, perfect if you want to add a little extra magic to your drawing ✨
I’ll post the step-by-step for you tomorrow too 🥰
Alrighty that’s all for this lil newsletter! I hope you’re all having a happy week:) Talk to you tomorrow! 💕
Love,
Lydia 💌
