Hellooo everyone and happy October! ๐
Starting off the month showing you my finished mini comic from the movie Atonement! The top panel was completely sketched and rendered in last month's tutorial, which is about how to create cinematic art ๐ฅโจ

AND I filmed the process of the bottom panel for you too! Currently editing the video and will share it with all big-hearted butterflies and devoted dragonflies soon ๐ฅฐ
San Diego Trip:
For those of you who are new here (welcome!!) I was invited to San Diego by Adalyn Grace, the #1 New York Times Bestselling author of the Belladonna series!
I illustrated the final book in her series called Holly, which has 23 full page ink drawings, plus a holly border that grows bigger throughout the book, along with colorful endpapers โค๏ธ It was truly a labor of love and so much fun to illustrate for an author I adore ๐ญ
She invited me out to celebrate the release of Holly, and together we signed over 750 pre-orders!! It took almost 6 hours and my wrist was only a little sore afterward ๐ But it was fun because some pre-orders requested that I doodle something inside the book, so I sketched lots of little sharpie doodles for people ๐คญ
The day after the signing, I was a guest at the Holly Masquerade Ball which was AMAZING ๐ I've always dreamed of attending a fantasy ball and I still can't believe that dream came true ๐ฐ๐ง๐ปโโ๏ธ๐ก๏ธโจ Everything was beautiful; the ball gowns and costumes, the decorations and candle-lit atmosphere, the music (lots of kpop demon hunters) and the foooood ๐ฐ
But the part I loved the most was the PEOPLE. If you put a bunch of fantasy book readers into a venue, the result is magic ๐ฅฐ๐ซถ๐ป I met so many sweet individuals, and it was my first time getting to meet my followers and patrons!! I ended up talking with a group of girls an hour after the event ended, until we were literally kicked out of the venue ๐คฃ๐
I also got to meet some of the coolest authors ever ๐ Axie Oh, Kaylie Smith, Susan Lee, Ava Reid, Alex Bracken, and other writers! Our introductions involved a lot of squealing and fan girling about each otherโs work and they were so fun to talk to ๐ฅฐ
I will cherish the memories of that night forever ๐ญ๐ On another note, if youโre ever traveling to San Diego and need some food recommendations or fun places to check out, DM me and I will give you a long list ๐๐ป๐๐ป

Wow. I would love to have the experience to go on a fantasy ball !! I love so much the clothes. I know some fashion designers are trying to bring back and adapt the new style, but the simple and classic never gets old. I feel like in one of my past lives I was lived at the time with warships and a lot of dresses. Thank you so much for sharing with us. Have a great flight back. :)
