Ontario Carpet Supermart
Added 2025-04-22 02:52:43 +0000 UTCOn my travels last weekend, I stepped onto the hallowed grounds of Ontario Carpet Supermart from my my 6100 re-release video. Unfortunately, they were closed for the holiday, but the above video should give a sense of what it was like to actually be there.

Just a stone's throw from the Northumberland Mall, Elvis was in the window and they had a video screen on their sign playing their commercials on a loop (which does not capture well on video).
The commercial (link below) I could only get by extracting it from their web page code. I did want to suggest that they upload them all on YouTube because at least the one other I've seen on television was even more wonderfully terrible.

You know you're in for a good time when a company's official typeface is Bauhaus or Cooper Black—the Garfield (and apparently Ontario Carpet Supermart) font.
