Three segments: the Bladerunner bit, Explaining the processor scaling wall that the G5 was supposed to overcome, and The life history of an average G5 tower in 45 seconds, took the most time. This video isn't just looking at one model in a series, it's looking at the entire series of 14 machines, including the water-cooled units. The video was followed by a 'Behind the Scenes' video for you Patrons who helped cover the costs, who donated materials and just the moral support you provided to make it possible. This completes the posting of the 65scribe video collection.. for now...

I was walking around Seoul on a drizzly night near the Gyeongbokgung palace when this video dropped, so parked myself in one of the awnings of the traditional buildings and watched the whole hour long epic there. Absolutely immaculate vibes. Thank you for making such an excellent video. I always loved the G5 when I was a kid, I was lucky enough to see them being used quite regularly by professionals and I was always wowed by how clinical, futuristic, and sleek it felt. It was like science fiction design come to life, which was high praise because when I was younger I was a certified Apple hater (buying into the 2000s PC gaming hype at the time, alas) ahaha.

I actually never intended to add a G5 to my collection because they’re large and noisy and don’t hold that mid 90’s nostalgia… but I was honestly inspired. I picked up a 1.8 GHz mid-tier first model year example recently and I love it. Thanks and as always looking forward to the next one 👍
