When theyโre talking about about putting a rush on it I think theyโre taking about death . The beat from monster is actually from jcoles born simba

He was only 20 years old when he made this!! Also, fyi this mixtape was made with famous tracks from hip-hop artists, so he didnโt produce any of the tracks, he โjustโ wrote his own lyrics and melodies and rapped over pre-existing instrumentals. Itโs because this was a very traditional โmixtapeโ, where thatโs the common way it works, you mix pre-existing tracks and rap over them. In mono and Indigo the tracks are original. (Yes, heโs an atheist. I think you nailed the meaning of god rap: do your own thing and believe in yourself, you donโt need outside influence but can be your own standard and your own inspiration.)

I'm an atheist and I've dedicated the bulk of my academic life to the concept of secular morality. I think what Joon does with God Rap is gently criticize religion as a crutch. People look for answers about themselves, about the world, about purpose and meaning, about good and evil in religion and that leaves them vulnerable to manipulation and group think and conformity even against your best interests. I read God Rap like he's encouraging people to rely more on themselves. Take your fate into your own hands, look for purpose and meaning in your own life, find paths to happiness and goodness from within, take accountability for your life and actions. Anyway, it's just always validating to hear something like that and relate to it from someone you admire so much. Actually, none of the boys talk a ton about religion or their faiths but Tae and Jungkook have said they don't have a religion either. That means different things to different people but for me in the US, where you can't even get elected if you say something like that out loud, it's still cool to hear them put that out there openly.
