An orange light suddenly glowed above Pepper, blinding her for a moment as it replaced the complete darkness of the jungle.

Pepper: Ah, shit!

Remembering what the Bulario told her earlier, Pepper quickly halted her instinct to look around and behind her, still unsure whether this was actually the right thing to do. She could feel it, however; something just out of sight. A daunting presence. Whatever this was, it hadn't attacked her yet.

With her phone already in hand, Pepper navigated to her front-facing camera, being extra careful not to make any big sudden movements with her thumb. When she opened it, she could see. Just faintly, a couple of feet away lurked a figure that was slouching down--its gaze trained towards her back.

Pepper: (softly) Ah, shit... Wish Paddy was here.

I was messing around with linework and colors and eventually ended up here. Kinda serendipitous! Hope you guys like it. I added a little story in there because... well, just 'cause! Thought it would be fun.

I also added a second version of the same image in there. That one has more post-process that's supposed to make it look more worn-down and 90's anime-ish. Let me know which one you guys like more: the clean one or the blurry one.

I personally like both of them. It's just that each one gives off a different feeling that has its own merit.
