Greetings! Since I've had to shuffle my life drawing session around, I thought I'd kick off the 'Open Studio' posts with some various sketches and projects I had going on in the background.

Mainly the focus behind most of these were characters and designs. I also threw in some very rough sketches that didn't make it past conceptual stages just to show you what that can look like sometimes.

Often sketches that don't move past that stage offer me a glimpse on what works and what doesn't. I'll often have an idea in my head and without too many references jot them down to see how they feel on the page - so its a hit and miss process.

I've also been experimenting with various formats like drawing on the iPad with those fancy apple pencils and the traditional sketchbook while out in the park during my days off.
