NEW EPISODE: Inside the World of Farming Simulator eSports (No, Really)

Farming Simulator has a professional eSports scene with a prize pool of Є200,000! This seemed very strange to us and so earlier this year, we decided to find a team and follow them across Europe as they competed for a place in the World Championship.

Oh my gosh does it feel good to get a video finished! This is our first documentary since Dylan was born and that came with its own challenges, but we're really pleased with how it turned out.

And yes, we really want to say a big thank you to everybody who's been supporting us as we've needed to take a little bit of time away from work to have an actual human baby. As part of that thank you, we've got two extra videos just for YOU!

If you want to really larp farming games, get over to The National Ploughing Championships in Ireland. That Irish guy in your video? Imagine a few thousand of him going ninety for a whole week.

Anni outdoing herself each and every time with these animations. Hot damn. Forget about New Holland, PMG are my 3 folx I'm proud of! (Actually, don't forget about New Holland, they seemed very cool, too)

Oh, and I loved the bonus video about the farming equipment, too! As another non-farmer, I found it educational. I grew up somewhat farming-adjacent via family friends, but as a child you just want to run around and pet the calves; you don’t learn about the realities of the business. I am under the impression that farmers sometimes rent combines just for the harvest, or a bunch of farmers have combines together to mitigate the cost, but that’s just a vague thing my brain thinks; maybe I’m wrong.

This was hilarious, but in the good way where you're not making fun of the thing, but engaging with the thing really respectfully. Two questions I came away with: How are stats for the different tractor brands determined? Surely no real-life brand wants to have the bad tractor in-game (or maybe then they just don't sponsor any teams). And do the teams have anything in their contract so they have to use their sponsor's equipment (where available)?

Really great video! I didn’t realize there was an esports side to farming simulator, also I loved the animation! I also watched the video of you two exploring the expo and quinns was slowly realizing how crappy the farming industry can be 🙃 I’m in the US and studying agroecology and it’s approaching impossible to make a living as a farmer. Most of the business is done by large corporations bc land, water, and equipment is so expensive. Industrial agriculture is also terrible for the environment. It’s a very big bummer so I won’t go on about all that 😅

This is so weird and niche. I love it :D

Brilliant video as always , but special mention for the animation work it's immense 👏👏👏

Dan Peniket

Yesss! Looking forward to this 😄
