Poolside fun blockout

After the aforementioned failure, I really wanted some sort of scene that I could use to at least produce some content while I'm working on completing the rest of Vanessa's rig.
Originally I figured I could "cheat" and whip up something super quick consisting of a literal ledge, a displaced plane representing the surface of the water, and a topless cube for the rest of the swimming pool... unfortunately things are rarely that simple in 3D, and the daytime lighting of that particular attempt proved to be quite difficult to manage with the caustics required for the water (which is something my render engine doesn't handle properly, and requires huge hacks with pre-baking textures to work around).
So the current plan is to flesh out a fairly complete pool scene instead- but light the entire thing as if it were at night (starry sky, warm comfy hues everywhere else, and a self illuminating pool via the underwater lights). Toss some floating candles in the water and it should make for some interesting renders... I hope.
