I kind of would like a new story or at least a movie to kind of make up for the rushed last arc.

I'm glad you pointed that out. A reaction to Sailor Moon would be fun. Although, that might not be the type of series they would be into.

So togashi (the author of Yu Yu Hakusho) started getting health issues around the time this arc started, so that's why it feels rushed. Sad to think about what could have been, but I'm still grateful we got Yu Yu Hakusho at all ππΌ one of the greatest anime ever

fun fact: if you didn't know or watch sailor moon before. Koenma is dress like Tuxedo mask character from Sailor moon. plus Togashi is married to the author of sailor moon so you see lil easter egg here and there in yu yu hakusho and Hunter x Hunter (which is another series he wrote after yu yu hakuksho finish)

To put things in perspective. When Raizen was in his prime and was healthy his power level was about 20,000,000 but when he was starving it was actually slightly lower then Yomi at between 1,400,000 to 1,300,000. Makuro was the strongest at 1,575,000.

In the manga it was stated Yomi had a power level of 1,550,000.

Yomi's fight with his son reminded me of Goku and Gohan training.

Yomi is a good father. He had to rough up his son a bit but it was a lesson he needed to learn. I think his hope is that one day Shura will be strong enough one day to defeat Yusuke.
