Hey everyone! Let me present to you Wild Lands of Saropoda, the first map for the Tropic Swamps theme.

The lands of Eastern Araboatora are called the Saropoda Wilds, named after the long necked monsters that roam the jungles. Scattered throughout the land are ancient cities and majestic temples of the lizardfolk that call the jungles home.

Long ago the lands were ruled by great dynasties. Their kingdoms covered all the lands east of the Tyrant's Valley, and they built large cities. Every settlement was accompanied by a temple of complex of temples, dedicated to the great Tora's of the jungles. All of that ended when Parretoa fell from the skies. The earth shook, and thick clouds blocked out the sun for more than a century.

During the Long Darkness many of the lizard folk died. There once populous settlements were abandoned and fell to ruin. Only a few places were able to sustain groups of lizardfolk, and survived the dark years.

When the skies cleared again the lizardfolk populations started growing again. Some stayed in the cities, rebuilding old buildings and estates, while others spread out across the jungles again, rediscovering old, overgrown settlements, temples and ruins. IN these places they resettled and built new homes.

Now they have reclaimed most of their old homes, though they live in tribes and are not ruled by the great dynasties of old. Instead, the priestesses of the great temples now make up the ruling class. These Liha-Tora are powerful spiritual leaders. Through their guidance the lizardfolk live in harmony with the monsters from the jungle.

But new monsters have entered the stage: human kingdoms from the north have expanded their borders and now have their eyes set on taming the jungle. However, the lizardfolk won't give p their homes so easily, and they have the jungle as their allies. Without the spiritual connection that the lizardfolk have, the environment in hostile to foreign intruders. Still, the invaders have managed to claim some old settlements on the jungles borders, showing that they are here to stay.
