In front of Qian Renjue stood the majestic and towering snowy peaks, familiar from the last time he had been here.
A white palace, freezing cold like an icy cave, stretched before him.
The palace roof was adorned with ice sculptures of various soul beasts, inverted and transparent, reflecting white light.
Below, there was a strange cold spring. Despite the harsh cold of the place, the spring showed no signs of freezing.
Two snowy peaks rose from the cold with a chill.
When Qian Renjue appeared, the Snow Empress, who was just rising gracefully from the cold spring, noticed him immediately. Their eyes locked on each other.
“It’s you?” The Snow Empress's ethereal, clear blue eyes reflected the dark figure in front of her. Her expressionless icy face held a hint of doubt. Clearly, she remembered his previous visit.
“Long time no see.” Qian Renjue’s voice was calm, staring directly at the cold spring. In his martial soul attached state, he knew that this wasn’t the best course of action, but he wouldn’t back away and put himself at risk because of it. His expression was blank, eyes fixed straight ahead, taking in the lively beauty of the ice cave before him.
A graceful and enchanting snow lotus rose slowly from the cold water. Ice droplets hung like jade beads, rolling down. Her pure white skin was flawless, with soft curves and a perfect figure, completely uncovered.
Splash!
Snow Empress didn’t halt her ascent due to Qian Renjue’s presence. She stepped onto the shore with her delicate, bare feet. Water droplets on her white hair turned into ice crystals, cascading down to her ankles like a silver river.
Facing the dark angel head-on, her snow-white, jade-like body stood before him. Her gaze was pure and innocent, like that of a newborn child untouched by the world. Her face was noble and pristine, her neck graceful, her chest plump, waist slender, and hips beautiful.
Her whole body, apart from a few faint pink hues, looked like transparent ice crystals, devoid of any human blood color.
Snow Empress didn’t bend down to grab the long dress at the shore. Instead, she raised her slender, snow-white arm, her glowing pale fingers pointing directly at Qian Renjue, sending a gust of extreme cold his way.
Qian Renjue stood still. Immune to cold, this attack had no effect on him, only covering his clothes in white frost.
“Human, why have you come here?” Snow Empress voice was crisp, cold, and refreshing. Her stunning, otherworldly face was devoid of emotion, only her usual coldness remained. Seeing the evil six-winged angel in front of her showing no fear, her elegant brows furrowed.
The cave’s cold wind intensified, and ice blades seemed to form, sweeping toward Qian Renjue.
Clang!
The Evil God’s Heart at Qian Renjue’s forehead glowed, and a black wind blade slashed forward, extinguishing the forming ice blades.
“Your Majesty, Snow Empress, I mean no harm. But you attacked me,” Qian Renjue spoke calmly.
Snow Empress tilted her head slightly, the energy at her fingertips growing stronger. In the cave, cold wind mixed with ice shards, whipping up a tornado.
“Bing’er said anyone who dares attack must be shattered first.” As she finished speaking, the Snow Empress, without a shred of clothing, raised her delicate, beautiful foot. With each step, ice formed beneath her, drawing closer to Qian Renjue.
“You struck first; I was just defending myself,” Qian Renjue frowned at the slightly trembling icy figure. Snow Empress seemed difficult to communicate with. A hurricane emerged from the Evil God’s Heart, forming a protective barrier around him, with the Evil God’s Hook at his back ready to retreat.
“I struck first?” Snow Empress's steps halted, her hand frozen mid-reach. What this human said seemed to make sense—it was indeed her who struck first.
Just as the energy at her fingertips began to dissipate, Qian Renjue’s frown deepened, and seven soul rings rotated at his feet.
Snow Empress gaze shifted toward the cave’s 'skylight'.
“Despicable human, die!” A sharp, wrathful voice came from outside, carrying wind and snow into the cave.
Bang!
Qian Renjue immediately turned, the protective hurricane around him disintegrating in an instant.
Shing!
The Fallen Angel Domain activated!
The Evil God’s Hook shot forward, colliding with the incoming green figure.
Clang!
Two scorpion tails clashed, sparks flying. Qian Renjue groaned, his six wings flapping, sending him retreating through the air. The Evil God’s Hook behind him swung repeatedly, dispersing the force.
“Bing’er,” the Snow Empress' calm voice rang out.
“Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion?!” A flash of white light appeared in Qian Renjue’s blood-colored eyes, finally revealing the figure before him.
It was a scorpion with two colors—ice and jade green—about 1.5 meters long. Its body consisted of four overlapping segments, each longer than half a foot. Its head sat on the frontmost segment, with silver-white mandibles and a front half covered in hexagonal protrusions. Each front claw was a meter long, also covered in hexagonal, diamond-like bumps, except for the claws and mandibles, which were mirror-like silver. Its eyes were yellow hexagons.
Unlike regular scorpions, whose tails had multiple joints, this scorpion’s tail had five segments, each jade green, the closest to the body being the widest and narrowing toward the tip. The tail ended with a silver-white hook covered in hexagonal diamonds, and it trembled slightly.
“Sister!” The Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion twisted its head, its yellow eyes reflecting the curvaceous, cold body of the Snow Empress. The temperature in the cave plummeted.
“This damn human dares defile my sister!” The Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion’s voice was filled with even more malice. Its six legs slammed into the ice, cracking it as it instantly appeared in front of Qian Renjue, its green claw snapping toward his head.
“I think there’s been a misunderstanding. I mean no harm,” Qian Renjue calmly explained, black ice forming a sword in his hand as he slashed several sword beams and retreated. Even though he could contend with a Title Douluo, the near 400,000-year-old Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion was still beyond his reach. A direct confrontation wouldn’t end well.
“Go explain in hell!” The Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion’s voice was bone-chilling, filled with murderous intent. Its large claws swept forward, wind and ice blades swirling.
It thought he was trying to defile its sister—he had to die!
Snow Empress watched Qian Renjue retreat through the air but said nothing. To her, he was just an insignificant human, even if she was curious.
Buzz!
“Seventh Soul Skill, Martial Soul True Body!” Blood-red light filled most of the cave, and the black six-winged angel soared, instantly dismantling the Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion’s attack.
Seeing the blood-colored soul ring, the Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion grew even more enraged.
“Human, you truly deserve to die!” It wasn’t just the scorpion—there was now a hint of coldness in the Snow Maiden’s gaze as well.
Swoosh!
A jade-green beam seemed to cut through space, shattering the frozen night sky. The black sword in the Fallen Angel True Body’s hand turned to ice.
Boom!
The black figure crashed into the ice wall, shaking the entire cave.
