đ Doryâs Warehouse â Crates, Contraband, and Creeping Shadows
Perched along Saltmarshâs weathered docks, Doryâs Warehouse appears at first glance to be just another aging storage building. But a closer look reveals a structure steeped in mystery and secrecy. Its winches creak with forgotten purpose, crates lean in quiet warning, and a ship dangles ominously from a corroded crane above. This is not just a warehouseâit's a crossroads for shadowy dealings and salty danger.
The ground floor is the most active and accessible level of Doryâs Warehouse. Light streams in through barred windows on the side walls, casting long shadows over stacked crates and dusty barrels. A heavy winch and pulley system is rigged through the center of the floor, lifting cargo to and from the levels above and below. Toward the west end, a cramped office nook holds a round table and basic shelvingâa place for quick meetings or paperwork that might not hold up under close inspection.
This level feels lived-in, used. Recently. Some crates are disturbed, and faint footprints in the dust suggest more than just cargo has passed through here.
đȘ Details:
Only floor with windows, allowing for partial visibility and entry points.
Features a table and corner âofficeâ for clandestine logistics.
Spiral staircases at either end lead both up and down.
Above the windows and daylight, the first floor is dim and tightly packed with crates. Itâs colder up here, and the silence is heavier. Most of the space is dominated by dense stacks of goodsâfar more than belowâcreating narrow, winding corridors perfect for stealth or ambush. The familiar winch system emerges here again, aligned with the trapdoors above and below.
The air is musty with the scent of aged wood and disuse. Yet, the disarray of some cargo hints that someone has been rummaging recently. Or hiding something.
đȘ¶ Details:
No windows, making it shadowy and harder to navigate.
Tightly packed with cratesâgreat for hiding, sneaking, or laying traps.
A key midpoint in the pulley systemâs operation.
The highest level of the warehouse feels... abandoned. Wide wooden planks creak underfoot, and the room is surprisingly openâalmost unsettling in contrast to the cramped storage floors below. A few crates rest near the trapdoor, but most of the space is bare. Dust lies undisturbed, except where two spiral staircases wind up to their final landings.
But all attention is drawn to the southern wallâwhere a rusted crane juts out, suspending a dilapidated ship over the black water below. The shipâs deck is mottled with algae and rain-scars, its ropes frayed, and its usefulness questionable. Whether itâs abandoned or hiding something aboard is for your party to discover.
