September Update: Live Shows, Live Streams, and Gentlemen of the Bedchamber

Hi friends!

Happy back to school month! September's the best month for learning things, whether you're taking classes or just poking around on Wikipedia, so if you've picked any particularly interesting knowledge lately I'd love to hear about it. (For example, did you know King James, of the King James Bible, gave his boyfriend the title "Gentleman of the Bedchamber"? That's a lot to live up to.)

Anyway, thank you all so much for all of your wonderful support, which makes all of this month's livestreams and videos and Sewers of Paris episodes possible. Here's what I'm bringing you in September:

Every weekend - Weekly Debrief: Get caught up on the LGBTQ news you need to know about, how the headlines are going to affect your life, and the actions you can take to make a difference! At the end of every week, I post a 2-3 minute video that rounds up the most important stories of the last few days so you can be sure you're always informed.

Livestream on September 15: Join us at 2pm PST for another Sewers of Paris livestream! I haven't locked in a topic for this one yet, so if there's a theme you'd like to focus on, let me know! September 18 - bonus episode of Sewers of Paris: I'll have another fascinating bonus interview from deep in the Sewers! This time I'll be chatting with a husband & husband team about what it's like to go into business together, becoming both romantic partners and business partners -- without driving each other absolutely crazy.

September 25 - Culture Cruise video: Set sail on another deep dive into on-screen LGBT culture! In case you missed it, check out August's video about a lesbian secret on Kate & Allie -- and get ready for another examination of queer content on TV in September. As always, Patreon backers at the $4 level and above get early ad-free access.

Livestream on September 29: It's an open topic on this livestream, so we'll be chatting about whatever games you're playing, books you're reading, shows you're watching, and movies you're loving. 

I'll also be popping up in a few other places this month!

• National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association: I'll be at the NLGJA convention (and the new media convening, happening at the same time) from September 6-9 in Palm Springs, connecting with other queer reporters and creators to bring you fascinating stories of LGBTQ life around the world. • September 27 - Throwing Shade Live in Seattle: Okay, I'm not a part of this show, just an audience member -- but I can't recommend this live comedy show starring (Sewers of Paris guest) Brian Safi and Erin Gibson highly enough! They'll be joined onstage by Dan Savage (also a Sewers guest) and Jinkx Monsoon. I could not be more excited to see them -- hope to see you there!
