October Update: Videos, Podcasts, a Super Special Livestream with Friends!

Hi Friends!

Happy Spooktember, the second-scariest month of the year (after March, which was invented by spiders). Thank you so much for all of your wonderful support, which makes all of this month's livestreams and videos and Sewers of Paris episodes possible.

Here's what I'm bringing you in October:

• October 13 - Sewers of Paris livestream: Join us at 2pm PST for another Sewers of Paris livestream! The special guest this month is Trish Bendix, managing editor of Grindr's news site Into. • October 16 - Culture Cruise video: Set sail on another deep dive into on-screen LGBT culture! I've been getting a lot of requests to tackle The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and so we'll be celebrating Halloween month with a jump to the left. And in case you missed it, check out September's video about Suzanne's gay friend on Designing Women! As always, Patreon backers at the $4 level and above get early ad-free access.
• October 23 - Bonus episode of Sewers of Paris: I'll have another fascinating story from Beyond the Sewers of Paris! This month's special guest is a name you may recognize from RuPaul's Drag Race. Yay!
• October 27 - Sewers of Paris livestream: It's an open topic on this livestream, so we'll be chatting about whatever games you're playing, books you're reading, shows you're watching, and movies you're loving. 
• Every Thursday - Sewers of Paris: Each week on The Sewers of Paris, a guest plucks a piece of entertainment from their past -- books, movies, music, shows, and more -- and answers the question: how did it change your life?
• Every Friday - Weekly Debrief: Get caught up on the week's LGBTQ news, how it affects you, and actions you can take! Weekly Debrief is your quick weekly roundup of everything you need to know about what's happening with queer people in the world and how you can help.

I'll also be popping up in a few other places this month!

• Twist - Seattle's Queer Film Festival! I'll be photographing some of the special events around Twist, our local queer film fest. Keep an eye out for me if you're in town for some LGBTQ films! The fest runs from the 11th to the 21st.
• Queens of Adventure Season 1: Action! Adventure! Combat-ready high heels! Queens of Adventure is a new podcast featuring drag queens playing a Dungeons & Dragons adventure, starring some fabulously funny drag queens. Subscribe at QueensOfAdventure.com.
• October 28 - November 4: Extra Life Livestream! Oh geez, I'm so excited for this. We're raising money for Seattle Children's Hospital with a weeklong livestream of games. It kicks off Sunday afternoon with a big gay game of Dungeons & Dragons, featuring Comedian Bryan Safi, Culture Critic Carlos Maza, Writer Anthony Oliveira, and LGBTQ Film Scholar Bryan Wuest,! Then the games continue all week long, culminating on Saturday with a thrilling game of D&D played in full drag by the cast of Queens of Adventure! It's going to be SO MUCH FUN. See you there!
