2023-05-11 18:05:25 +0000 UTCOne thing I wanna mention though, It’s not true that everyone back in the days sack with such violence, a lot of cultures in history weren’t nearly as violent even when invading, Vikings were among the most violent ones. Usually, nomads like Vikings and Mongolians would kill and sack because their life style is always moving from places to places rather than establishing a stable civilization. If you wanna turn somewhere you invade under long term control, you would less likely want to draw too much hatred because it would only increase the difficulty of ruling. Nomads care less because they always moving, which make them some of the fiercest fighters but worst rulers. Even Germanics, basically the ancestor of Western Europe, who were regarded as “barbarians” by romans back in the days, when they sacked Rome several times it wasn’t about violence but rather taking things from the more advanced civilization they looked up to.

The narrator's name is Halldór Elís Ólafsson (his name is in the end credits), who works at the Icelandic embassy in Japan. S1E1 Vinland Saga was screened in the embassy around the time it premiered, and the embassy seems to have connected with the series and staff since then. The anime staff, probably the director, asked them for permission to do the dialogue in their language for S2E1. I really loved it when I heard the story.

2023-02-22 00:18:34 +0000 UTCMy experience to 1st episode: Honestly I was a bit scared of MAPPA producing this. WIT studio is generally great in historical portrayals and with the amount of projects MAPPA has I was terrified they d not do this show a justice. Episode 1 set me a bit more at ease as we can see that the team working on this cares for this story. Additionally, my fave from s01 is Canute so I was super hyped to see him at least in the OP, which kinda shows us that he will have at least some appearances, which I cannot wait for. As for Einer, what caught my attention was that his reaction to a very similar past as Thorfin had was...a lot different if we think about it. Einer wants freedom, but not at cost of blood. He is basically a pacifist trying to find a way of least resistance which is basically the exact opposite of how Thorinf reacted in s01 to the deaht of his dad.

If that's the case then the only reason the devs would even wanna pay royalties to Rowling is seemingly because they want access to the Harry Potter universe, and for no other reason. That is a great move by devs xD. I can sorta relate with that coz I love Harry Potter but that doesnt mean I like J K Rowling xD. Gonna play it for sure now, im already getting goosebumps imagining what the Hogwarts castle looks like in game xD

The devs included that character as a f*ck you to JK rowling. xD Only ties that JK has to Hogwarts Legacy is the royalties she gets, and with that being said game is super fun and so beautiful :D

Hence its controversial to The Letters vs The People. Yet those same people probably read the books way back in 97 and thought it was great. What a time to be alive.

A lot of ppl I know are boycotting the game. Im not very informed about the subject so dont come at me xD.
