Welcome back!! This episode we share with you what we have been doing since arriving in Australia a couple of months ago. It's with a little heavy heart we announce that our beloved home is for sale, and that we have now moved out of her and onto land. Everything has its time and this feels like the right decision for us at this moment. But don'...

WE MADE IT! 14 000Nm, 21 countries, two oceans and 3 years later. We finally pull into Kieran’s and our boats home town. We bring Merewether home to Merewether. An amazing welcome by Kieran’s friends and family awaits us as we sail into port. We get a bit teared eyed as it slowly dawns on us the magnitude of what we have accomplished. We wou...

Arriving in Noumea last week tired and cranky, we finally get some much needed sleep in the calm anchorage. We explore a bit of the island capital, but we are not impressed. However we only really have one thing on our mind, Australia. After filling up Merewether with food, water and fuel we head out again. Australia here we come!

We’re continuing our sail from Fiji to Australia. After 600 Nm we decide to have a rest and we pull into New Caledonia. We were really struggling this sail, tired and seasick we keep pressing on and are very relieved when we sail into Numea. Merewether has never been this south and the Australian vintner is becoming more and more evident. Even...

This weeks episode is a it of a sad one, as we say goodbye to the place we have called home for the past eight months, Fiji. We have absolutely loved our time here, and it's safe to say; we are definitely coming back! But before we sail to our next destination we go for one last surf and snorkel session at our favourite spot. What's next you mig...

Today we take you along on a bit of a different day on Sailing Merewether. We are attending a very important football mach here in Matuku, Fiji. We drove to a different village, where we again, in true Fijian hospitality, were welcomed with open arms. It was my (Isabelle's) first rugby game, and where better to see it on a paradise island in the...

We keep getting taken back by the generocity of the Fijian people and that reaches new heights in the beautiful island of Matuku this week. After arriving last episode we are immediately invited to once a year gathering by all the seven villages of the island. With tea, kava drinking and a huge feast they make us feel very much part of their com...

Running out of food, with the flu coming on we decide to move our floating home towards the island of Matuku. With 104nm to sail we struggle with the autopilot but Kieran finds an unlikely solution. Finally arriving at the unknown island we are taken back by the shear height of this new backyard.

#121 Swapping one beautiful backyard for another, we're sailing to the neighbouring island of Ongea. We get some help from our fellow cruisers to find the best anchorage for Merewether to be in. We rock up to yet another amazing island, with turquoise water and a secluded village. We give sevusevu to the local chief and get invited to his son's ...

Can you imagine what it would be like to live in one of the remotest islands in the Pacific Ocean. This week we explore and relax in Fulaga, a far our island located in the Lau group of a Fiji. We trek into the island to see our host family and give some books to the school. While also browsing the lagoon to find that pot of hidden pirate treasu...

After three years exploring this beautiful planet of ours we still can't believe our eyes when we continue to see new and exciting islands. The Pacific Ocean has been our favourite crusing ground so far and it's largely due to the dream like paradises we come across. We feel so privileged and lucky to see these remote havens in the middle of oce...

After seeing a very rare north west wind pop up on our predict wind account we look to finally make the long 180nM sail from Suva to the Lau island group in far out south east Fiji. With no resorts, shops, restaurants, hospitals or even internet connection we escape from the world and it's problems to get away from it all.

Hi crew, as many of you sailors know - the wind is the force that keeps us going (apart from you, our beautiful Patrons of course). We have been looking for a weather window to sail to the secluded Lau Groups in the south east of Fiji. Very remote, very beautiful and without any internet connection. Now the time has come! The perfect wind is com...

With the rare northerlies kicking in now we're getting to the end of cyclone season we decide to make to most of them and sail south the Fiji's Coral Coast. Making unexpected good speed we have a few laughs on our way down. Isabelle cooks up a feast and gets a well deserved visit from some friendly dolphin mates.
