2024-12-04 13:12:24 +0000 UTCIt's always been weird to me why so many in the anime communirt hate mecha. Like "the show sounds interesting but it's a mecha so I'll skip". I can't remember if it was Nicholas Light or some other big anime youtuber who said something like "I don't like mecha shows, I've only watched two: Code Geass and TTGL, well those are two of my favorite anime ever but they're probably exceptions". It's like dawg your mecha experience has been 2/2 yet you call the genre trash hahaha

Lelouch has black hair which can be identified as japanese while Suzaku has brown hair and green eyes which definitely is not japanese. My advice in this show is to focus on if the name sounds western or japanese instead of the looks

I mean not to go off race and all but. Anyone would be able to tell the difference between a white person and a japanese guy. Lelouch is a full britanian and as we have seen not all brittanians are blue eyed blonde hair in fact most of them aren't haha. All good though just wanted to make it clear that this isn't some different group of mixed people its the same japanese people we have here. A very homogenous society, nobody is going to mistake a japanese for a white person.

2024-12-04 02:45:29 +0000 UTCThe other people have always called Lelouch as a Britannian (not even an honorary one), and Suzaku (Lelouch's friend who's piloting Lancelot) as an elevener/ honorary Britannian. So seems like Lelouch is Britannian and Suzaku is Japanese. I think the reason you guys are confused about it is there was some assumption after the previous episode. I think Lelouch wanting to destroy Britannia has a big part in that misconception too :p The guy who was riding the motorcycle with Lelouch also said "Us britannians" at some point.

2024-12-03 22:28:21 +0000 UTCRon/Michelle, If you guys could, please double check that wherever you're watching code geass at, check that it matches the subtitles that your editor is using in these videos that are being uploaded. Some of the hosts like netflix/hulu etc, i cant remember off the top of my head which one(s) specifically, but they have really exceptionally shitty subtitling that don't properly translate titles, and other key elements of the show. This episode's ending scene would be the easiest part to double check at. If your version is different, I'm sure your editor can let you know where he pulled the videos from, cause the one's being uploaded here for us are the perfect subtitles. I appreciate you guys and your editor, thank you.

And Lelouch called the Clovis la Britannia(blond guy), who is the 3rd Prince of the Holy Britannian Empire, his big brother. Clovis thought that Lelouch was dead. Basically, Lelouch is a Prince from Britannia and is living in Japan. The reason so, you will find out.

2024-12-03 19:42:26 +0000 UTCThis show has lots of information so to summarize with information given so far: The duality between Lelouch and Suzaku: Lelouch is a prince of Britannia (17th in the line of the throne, the Emperor of Britannia was busy reproducing😭), who despises his own country and wants to liberate Japan by siding with the Japanese, using dirty tactics and causing collateral damage to achieve his goal. Suzaku, is a Japanese who works on the side of Britannia to change the system from inside, who avoids conflict (he didn't kill any of the people, he just incapacitated their Knghtmares and even halted the mission to save a person falling caused by Lelouch's actions). They are basically opposites in every way, fighting for the same goal but complete opposite methods.
