Vote for which games I play next!

**Update: IT IS DECIDED.

Hey everyone! I need your help picking what to play after Deltarune Chapter 2 is done!

It's been a while since we hit a new Bonus Playthrough threshold, and I've been accruing quite a list of fun-looking mid-size games on my to-do list over the last couple years, so I figured why not let y'all pick which I play first.

Trailers

Here are some trailers for all the candidate games:

Animal Well          Another Crab's Treasure          Crypt Custodian

Death's Door          Princess Peach Showtime          The Messenger

Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment          The Plucky Squire

Voting Time!

You can vote for multiple options, so just pick all the games that interest you most!

Comments

Dangit why do I only ever see these after the poll is closed? And it's only been 5 days! Animal Well would have been my choice for the record

Friendly Neighbourhood Joe

I’d prefer to avoid Animal Well, I haven’t had a chance to play it myself yet and I’m sure I’m not alone in that. Most of the other options sound great, though!

Adam Gardner

Would love to see the Peach game on the channel, but I haven't had time to play it myself yet, so not yet :D

Merkku

But would he actually play it so badly? :P

rmsgrey

You can DM us here if there's anything you want to send over, but no obligation! That one's definitely on my radar, so I'm likely to grab it at some point either way. <3

Death's Doooooor! A super fun game with beautiful music. I'll keep carrying that torch until it finally gets its day in the sun!

Annie

Cast my vote, but I think that Caravan SandWitch looks aggressively you guys.

LBVidiot

Another Crab’s Treasure was going to be my number one but then you put Shovel Knight on there. SOLD! Both of your SK playthrough are serious comfort viewing for me.

Jay

It has enough of a following Maybe a stream with DanJones for commentary?

Joe Rundin

Another Crabs Treasure is Number 1 for me. More Spooky Shovel Knight for October though . . . .

Joe Rundin

He mentioned dipping into it a bit in the demons souls remake episodes and in the strangers of paradise he said he wasn't too interested in non From souls likes, but hopefully someday

Timothy Mitchell

Deliver us the Moon and Deliver us Mars are nice mid-length games that might be interesting for a series.

Erlend Hamnaberg

I don't know if you've said something about it before, but I'd like to see you tackle Lies of P at some point.

Covo375

The first 4-5 hours of Sea of Stars didn't end up grabbing me, sadly, but I'm determined to get to The Messenger one of these days!

PlayFrame

and then maybe Sea of Stars? I really think Dan would love that game since he liked Chrono Trigger

neutronstarmerger

One day, The Messenger will get its day in the PlayFrame sun.

Michael Pattemore

I have to recommend my favorite metroidvania of all time: Guacamelee! (Or Guacamelee 2). It's colorful, great movement mechanics, and an optional section to make you tear your hair out.

TargetBoy

Dan. PENTIMENT. Please make this an option for you and detective Carrie. It's about art and mystery and history and 'choices matter' and is such a fascinating labor of love from Bethesda. Thou must!

Mark Whiting

I feel like Animal Well is very good as a stream, because it has a lot of "OMG, *what*?!" moments that are very entertaining.

The Furies

Death's door is pretty fun, but I'm not sure it's interesting enough to make a good series. Would love to see Peach or Squire win though, they seem like a great fit for the channel!

S Heutink

I love ACT with all my heart, but if it's this close to Princess Peach Showtime, I can wait to see Crab Souls on PlayFrame. That game is so outrageously good and charming, it is *unreal.*

M Yen

Another great game to eventually check out is "Bloomtown, a different story." It caught me by surprise and is a great game.

Michelle Malave

I would love to see crypt Custodian. I've finished it and it was definitely a bit of a hidden gem.

Michelle Malave

Do you think Dan knows just how deep the well goes?

Benjamin Siegfried

Given it's from the same studio who made Going Under, I'd actually have been surprised if it DIDN'T get into heavy themes.

PlayFrame

I really want to see someone with more patience, determination, and resourcefulness more than I have do all of the Animal Well post-game stuff.

Ryan Zhao

Yes, The Messenger and Sea of Stars are both so good!

Nazrax

I'm fine with Another Crab's Treasure, but just a heads-up: while the art style is adorable and much of the tone is humorous, the themes can get heavy, especially near the end (grappling with the impact of climate change and pollution). Not in a graphic way or anything, but something to be aware of.

Judica

I'd still love to see a Play Frame playthrough of The Messenger some day. Partly because it's just a very good game, partly because I think a Play Frame playthrough of Sea of Stars would also be fun. Sea of Stars does stand on its own, but you get so much more out of it if you've already played The Messenger. I am, by the way, absolutely *adoring* Deltarune Chapter 2 :D

Gigabyte22

Another Crabs Treasure is good and should be played but Dan just did a ton of Elden Ring. Maybe something inbetween would be good.

Tinwhisker

I need Dan to play Astro Bot so badly but there are some good choices on this list also

Jacob Grayson

Death's Door is such a fun game and feels right for the channel! Plus it has a great OST.

Emma Hanley

Kinda hoping for something short and sweet, but I always love whatever gets played!
