The problem with playing Alan Wake is it has interesting ideas, but it isn't a very good game. However, Alan Wake 2 is great, and although technically you don't need to play AW1 first, AW2 is better and makes more sense if you do.

2026-02-12 19:02:08 +0000 UTCI finally played through all of HZD after my 4th restart. I don't know why but both HZD and Forbidden West have really slow starts. The games are great once you get past the the first 5 to 10 hours. Lies of P is my #1 pick out of these options. If Gravity Rush was an option it be my first pick.
