And I believe Aegon pulled up because he thought rhaenyra sent a dragon and he doesn't realize that she gained more dragons so vhagar would be outnumbered and possibly killed if he attacked right her right now. They are down a dragon which is why he's asking Helena to fight in hers.

Oh and I wanted to mention that the ‘Dragon Keepers’ are a lot like Stable Hands for horses mixed heavily with Zookeepers. They raise, clean, feed, keep all the ancient songs and rituals, as well as (over the generations) have kinda formed a religion out of Dragon Keeping. Revering them as gods. I mean, we saw that all Dragon Keepers have a suicide knife, cuz they know that dragon fire isn’t always quick. And it’s hotter than regular flames. They’re lowkey the real OG’s and some of the toughest motherfuckers around. I mean, they literally work with dragons their entire lives. *TedTalk intensifies*

I thought this episode was gonna be crazy too... however... I think we're gonna see Rhaena grab herself a dragon next episode which I believe is huge af. I was really disappointed with Alicent in this episode, following her was a waste of time. I'm sure Aegon remembers what happened to him, but he's terrified of his brother.

Calling them mongrels is a form of self loathing as he’s a “highborn” bastard with a dragon the one thing keeping different from all other Targaryen bastards. Jace absolutely has a claim being firstborn unless his brothers grow and feel or was persuaded somehow he’s still the heir. He claim is more challenged if one of the dragonseeds were to be backed by some others lords cause they look more Targaryen, he would lose for they have bigger dragons once again repeating what happened to Rhaenyra.
