Solar Power Station

Before I start I must say that today was the FIRST official Kickstarter-funded development day for MyRobot. This past month I have been optimizing my workflows, cleaning up code, and making Unity Editor tooling to speed up gameplay creation, with great success.

Anyways, the development roadmap requires a solar panel station since there needs to be checkpoint stations for your robot to refill battery. Till now the only way to do that was at the home base computer. But no more!

Simply connect the solar power pole and array to the station to create a rechargeable pit-stop for your robot. It comes with a built-in cable that reels back in if you let go so you never lose it. This fixes the issue with cables being lost or whatever happening to them.

Of course this does mean that you can only power the station during the day. Additionally, you may have to find or build the machine parts to activate them since some may be incomplete.

Machine Power Sources

The larva have a much bigger role in the game and aren't just going to be cute background critters. They are pivotal for unlocking doors or powering abandoned machines! And so, larva, when charged fully, will turn into charged fuses that can be placed into fuse boxes to power machines.

That's pretty much it as far as machines in the game, you have the robot and these larva-powered machines. Of course they intertwine in the gameplay loop since they both influence each other. For example, larva feed off of robot electricity, that's bad. But that's the only way to charge them to turn them into useful fuses, that's good! So there is a careful balance required when powering machines.
