Grapple Hook Changes
So the grapple hook in the last release had a lot of problems mostly stemming from the fact that there was no control in the swing. I've addressed this glaring problem by adding swinging. Now by holding the arrow keys in the direction you want to swing, the robot will swing back and forth. This should definitely reduce falling into chasms and end frustration.
Another issue was that every time you landed the robot would play the same ground slam landing animation, which was unnecessary depending on the speed it was going, so I did just that and tied the land animation to the speed of the robot. So now if you are going slow enough you just resume walking/movement like normal without being interrupted.
This inadvertently lead to the new funny mechanic where you can now spam jump and hop like a rabbit everywhere. Also with the same swing mechanics you can now orient the direction you go while flying with balloons.
Preparing for Release
This week I did a bit more formal stress testing of the mod support system. It's ready! I do however expect to receive plenty of feedback for it. Most of the modding action will take place in the Discord in the new mod channels.
Very busy leading up to a release. One of the last things I want to fix is making the AI not hallucinate as much when it comes to understanding what body parts it has attached.
