Shifting Silver
Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement by a creature missing an arm)
Shifting Silver is a revolutionary prosthetic limb engineered by the Tower of Arcanum. Its core consists of a sturdy skeletal frame forged from lahanium and iron, while the outer layer is composed of a unique liquid metal—a fusion of mercury and lahanite. The infusion of lahanite grants this quicksilver-like substance the ability to channel arcane energy, seamlessly interacting with the enchantments etched into the frame. This synergy enables the user to manipulate the liquid metal’s shape through sheer will. Though fluid in nature, once the metal settles into a form, the lahanite within reinforces its structure, rendering it remarkably resilient and durable.

This prosthetic limb is covered by a layer of magical liquid metal that shifts and flows like quicksilver. Once attuned, it seamlessly attaches to the wearer, functioning as a fully articulated arm. The Shifting Silver grants the following benefits:
Adaptive Form. As a bonus action, you can reshape the arm’s outer layer into one of the following. If any part of the arm is more than 10 feet away from you, it automatically retracts and reforms into its default shape. The transformation lasts indefinitely until you choose to change it or until you become incapacitated or unattune from the item. The arm can only take one form at a time, and changing its shape replaces its previous form:
A simple tool or small object (no larger than 1 foot in any dimension, such as a key, lockpick, or crowbar).
A thin metal wire up to 30 feet long, capable of supporting up to 200 pounds.
A weapon of your choice that has light or finesse properties. The weapon is considered magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
A small shield that’s attached to your forearm and grants a +1 bonus to AC. If you wield another shield, this effect does not stack.

Thanks to the prompt 'transformation' and my mood when making Aizlyn, I got the urge to create a series of prosthetic limbs. So here is the first one. This won't be an actual series or set like the usual, just me wanting to make a bunch of fancy prosthetic limbs~~
(Don't worry, I'll still make at least one modular set item; I just need to figure out a design and mechanic that I like...)
