Keeping you in my thoughts, because that sounds unbelievably annoying 😂 (Have you tried contacting Patreon’s support, maybe they know the cause/a workaround? You might be thinking “well duh, of course I did 🙄” because it *does* sound insanely obvious, but it genuinely didn’t even occur to me until I had already typed this whole thing out, so idk maybe our adhd brains are the same kinda weird 🙃 I know Youtube support is notoriously unhelpful for smaller channels but I haven’t heard anything either way in regards to Patreon’s. Maybe they’re actually competent? Anyway, probably try that first, before my other suggestions) If the Patreon upload cuts off but the original exported video file has no issues, then if it were me, I’d try doing a few short test uploads: one normal upload, and then one upload where you intentionally cut it off/disconnect before it finishes. Maybe try cutting it off mid-upload, and then post-upload but before it’s processed. If the manually cut-off ones get cut short in the same way as the ATLA uploads, then it could be that Patreon is losing connection before your uploads finish for some reason. Possibly something to do with a firewall, or if you use a VPN, or your internet browser’s content blockers? I’d also try doing a test upload with a different video format to see if that changes anything. Idk video software you use, but I’m sure it can export in other file types. Or, if you have Adobe CC, there’s a program called Media Encoder which can convert *most* audio/video files into *most* any other file type (also has lots of controls to fine-tune the file size/quality—very handy). If Patreon just refuses to work, you *could* try doing unlisted videos on Youtube. I’m sure they’ll still check for copyrighted material, so you’d have to do watchalong/commentary style uploads where it’s just your camera and a timer that the viewer syncs to the movie/episode. Allegedly, though, Youtube has started to run ads on unlisted/private videos, which would fuck up the watchalong sync and be super annoying for viewers. Not sure but sites like Vimeo or idk maybe Dailymotion? might be more lenient about copyrighted material in private videos. I’ve seen music/album reactions hosted privately on Vimeo seemingly without issue, but idk about TV/Movie reactions. I’ve also seen some people host their videos on cloud drives—Google Drive, Mega, etc—for patrons to download, but you’d have to start being way more conscious of file sizes since you’d likely have to pay for storage/bandwidth. I also saw one channel host their patreon movie reactions on Streamable (but they definitely had a paid account) which seemed to work well enough for them, so you could also look at some of those video file hosting/sharing sites like that.
