I have found and I think a lot of musicians can vouch for me that being gentle is often more difficult than being intense. Softer songs require much more vocal control, a good amount of focus, and a lighter touch than higher-energy ones, and since I couldn't hear anything, was overheating, and the energy was so strained, my best option was to play things where sounding "good" isn't necessary. With some of those really old songs, I don't need much control or precision, just raw chaotic energy; they can be sloppy and rough and it only adds to the vibe that went into their creation. So yeah, that's why! Here's hoping me telling you this doesn't lead to word spreading that if you heckle me I'll play Cotard's Solution...

I’m short so I didn’t get to see Will banging on the piano w/ his foot so thank god I can see it now. This was an insane show and I’m still sorry for what Will had to go thru but it was a legendary performance and he made the best of it. I’ll treasure this special setlist for my whole life. Will, if you ever come back to Sac, don’t worry, we have much better venues! ❤️
