Where has tode gone?

As a teaser for my next video, I've released this short clip!

Tode has been TAKEN! ... and now they're missing!

Where have they gone? What will we do without them!? WHAT'S GOING ON!?!? Hopefully, I'll be able to tell that story over the course of the next three videos! I do like to make it seem like there's a mysterious 'story' in my videos (whether there is or not) - so this will be a fun way of having a 'story' that links multiple videos together.

I also think it'll be fun to have the videos affect the 'real world'! My avatar (and other things) will be impacted by what happens in the videos, as they unfold! In most videos, I like to mess with the possibilities of what a 'youtube coding video essay' can be. So let's see how this experiment goes...

Cells

I finally got CellPond working! And lots of people have been using it! I feel grateful for the kind feedback I've received, and I've really enjoyed seeing what people make in it!

This means... that I've been able to really crack on with making the next video - 🤖 Nothing. I'm now fully into recording audio & video (which is a relief after all this time)! There are still some things I need to finish coding... but I will do those as I go along now.

TodeTode

One of my least-watched videos is 🐸 Alphabet! It was about a fictional spoken language for todes. In the next video, I'm bringing it back!

I'm using the fictional written language of 'Tode' to help mark the transitions between different sections of the video. And I've been making some trippy visuals to help with this too! I hope that the strange 'glyphs' from the Tode language can help to create a sense of mystery.

Since making the 🐸 Alphabet video, the language has progressed quite a bit! You can now construct simple sentences, and some of the letters have changed a bit. Hopefully we can explore it more ... some time in the future!

Screens in Screens in Screens

As I mentioned earlier, I'm planning the next three videos alongside each other. So I've started getting to work on the coding for the next-next-next-video! In other words... not the next video... or the one after that... but the ONE AFTER THAT. I'm going to make 📺 Screens in Screens in Screens!

It'll be about a toy engine that lets you draw different colour SCREENS. Anything that you place inside a screen... also appears in any other screen of the same colour. Including screens! Including itself! Including itself in itself in itself in itself (you get the idea)!

I've started to code some little proof-of-concept experiments to figure out how to make this thing! So you might start to see some work-in-progress clips of it!
