Silence

Woah! I released a new video called ☁️ Define Define! 

The last few days of working on it were a real battle between me and Adobe software. Apparently there's a bug where one of your audio layers can become corrupted - and there's no fix.

It was just silent on the exported video file.

I had to move all tracks from that later to a brand new one. And now there's a forever-unusable zombie layer in the project. (Not that I'll ever need it again).

For my next video, I'm planning to try using Davinci Resolve for a short section. I really hope to find a smoother alternative to the Adobe suite.

No Silence

Speaking of audio, I tried to make the music just a *little* bit too loud in the video - so that it drowns out my voice. It's really hard to get the balance of this sort of thing right because: Your experience depends a lot on which speakers you use.

I have a few different speakers at hand:
📢 tinny water speakers
📢 decent in-ear buds
📢 rubbish laptop speakers
📢 bassy speakers
📢 VERY bassy headphones

And I usually make sure that the video sounds good on all of them! This usually involves 'toning down' the music so that my voice is audible on even the worst speakers (give-or-take).

This time I made sure that my voice was slightly inaudible on all of my speakers, even the good ones. And this means that it's *even more* inaudible on the worse speakers.

Judging by people's comments about not being able to hear my voice, it seems to have worked!

By the way: I do recommend using the bassiest speakers you can find.

Silence

☁️ Define Define is the first video of a 3-part trilogy called the 💤 Sleeping Tode Trilogy.

And part of the reason for the loud music was: It's leading into the next video, 🎵 Arrows in Arrows in Arrows (which was voted for a long time ago).

In that video, we'll use *no music* - because it's *too loud*. (With some usual todey twists of course).

And I've started making it! The first thing I'm doing is: Doing a few fixes and improvements to my tools. I need a couple more features for the next one! (I'm looking forward to it)
