The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T. Review

A creepy old man wants to kidnap hundreds of little boys because he wants their happy fingers... Thanks, Dr. Seuss!

The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T. Review

The sets are fantastic a sight as a meadow, it's a pity every adult in this movie seems to be a pedo.

Tonks Lives

This is a really weird movie.

Huh... ever heard of "Sparky's Magic Piano"? It kinda the same thing... but with Vincent Price!

SilverZeo

I have this movie on Google TV, been awhile since I've seen but I liked the inventiveness of it

Chucky Cheese

The CGI remake? Oh I wish Bobsheaux took that one apart.

Do those guards have blackface, or are they covered in soot? :D Never heard of this, but boy it is a weird movie. I find Dr Seuss weird in general - in Hungary his books are largely unknown to begin with. We had Babar's Christmas, and such but not the Grinch.... Btw, that bodypainted "black" guard elevator floor announcer dude... he sounds totally like Homer Simpson.

Ha! I KNEW this was a horror movie! At least it seemed kinda visually interesting at some points.

If it helps Bob, the original draft of the film had a subplot based around the twins who where representative of the kid's great-uncles who where fairly well known pianists. Other supposed (and interesting, at least in my opinion) elements cut from the first draft was a magic saber Dr. Terwilliker would use to cut the heads off of disobedient henchmen so they would shamble around as headless zombies, the mother being kept in a cage over Dr. Terwilliker's bed (Must be a Bobsheaux!) and Dr. Terwilliker ultimately being killed when the twins strangle him to death with their beard. Yeah apparently the film was originally a lot darker but test audiences didn't like it so it had to be reworked a lot to make it more family friendly. The end result was something Seuss never wrote about again. I just find the history of this film really interesting.

Well, would a question about the most bizarre "children's film" they ever seen was work? Seems appropriate given the subject of the review

If any of Bobsheaux's wonderful Patrons have an idea for the Question of the Review for this one, we'd love some suggestions!

Raven Fox

I was hoping for Watership Down or Arctic Dogs but this is okay too I guess.
