THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS NOT A DOWNLOAD PAGE
Hi guys! Hope you all are well!
This week I worked primarily on editing the premature C-Section Animation.π
So when your sim gives birth prematurely the doctor will not place the baby on your sim's chest for skin to skin contact, becauset the baby is too fragile.
The beginning of the animation looks the same
But when the baby is born instead of handing them to your sim the doctor sort of toss the baby into the air and the baby disappears and spawns into the incubator automatically. I did this hoping that it would make the first skin to skin contact with the baby in the incubator more meaningful and special. and yes I edited all three C-Section animations (single baby, twins and triplets)

the birthing sim will get one of 6 moodlets after(3 happy and 3 sad)
and the pregnancy partner/significant other will get one of 4 moodlets(2 happy 2 sad)
additionally I cleaned up the pregnancy complication system. before sims would only go into premature labor in the second trimester, but now it might also happen during the third trimester.
However the chances of premature birth is somewhat low (im bad at math but your sim has a 16% chance of getting either PPROM or placental rupture, and 30% of actually going into premature labor in the second or third trimester, not sure what that leaves us in the in the final percentage of a sim giving birth prematurely) . I kept the chances low because I dont want to release this feature and immediately have it take over your game, I think it should be something that's somewhat uncommon.
With that being said you can always trigger the pregnancy complications manually to take control of what happens to your sim.π
In the child birth settings you will now see a subcategory called "Pregnancy Complications"

In there you can disable pregnancy complications, which will make your sim immune to PPROM and placental rupture. Use this if you don't want to deal with complications or premature birth.
During the first trimester you can give your sim PPROM or placental Rupture. however this does not grantee they will give birth prematurely, since the symptom might go away on its own.
but in the second and third trimester you will be able to manually trigger premature birth if you wish. doing so will send your sim into premature labor and your sim will be asked to go to the hospital right away.
Annnnnd that is all I have for this week.
Next week I am working on the family/friends visit, which is also the last thing I have planned for this update. I still want to make some kind of custom animation, maybe one that allows other sims to say hi/look at the baby in the incubator. I really hope the tuning doesn't give me too much trouble so that I will have time for the custom animation. ππhopefully I will have some good news for you all next friday.
Once again thank you all so much for your support and your patience! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
