Upcoming Feature: Info-Chan Portraits
Added 2025-08-21 10:20:25 +0000 UTCOne of the earliest additions to the game was the cutscene where Info-chan introduces herself to Ayano. For over 10 years, this cutscene has been extremely basic - a static image of a smartphone against a plain white background. It feels like something that should definitely be upgraded to give the game higher production values.
I've considered various ways to improve this scene (make the phone 3D, show Ayano's hand gripping it, animate it subtly moving around in three-dimensional space?) but it was only recently that I actually felt inspired enough to make a change.
A few weeks ago, a fan of the game volunteered to make any 3D renders that I might require. To demonstrate his ability, he showed me a render that he had made of Info-chan. I really loved the aesthetic of this render, and right away, I decided on the first change that I would be making to the phone cutscene.
Starting in the next build, you will see renders of Info-chan appearing beside her text messages in the cutscene where she introduces herself to Ayano. Will she appear in future cutscenes, as well? Maybe - we'll see. Will silhouettes of other characters appear? Well, I'm not currently planning on it...but, hey, maybe it might happen.

Yeah, I do plan to change that. It won't require voice acting. Here are my priorities, in order: 1. Fix any game-breaking bugs that are present in the current build 2. Implement new assets that I recently received from volunteers 3. Make numerous improvements to Amai's week, including the addition of voice acting and new animations for her events 4. Release YouTube videos about all of the improvements that I've made to the game since the release of 1980s Mode 5. Begin work on Kizana "Improve the placement of students around school" is in 3.

Ik it’s been a thing where people dislike the reading all over the school. And u plan on changing them. When can we expect that to be updated to see students socializing or doing club related activities. And would any of them require voice acting (not including interactions with Amai)

2025-08-21 17:30:09 +0000 UTCHmm...its not bad, and it looks a lot less empty. I feel like some elements are a bit goofy though; like the random table appearing and the flip effect. Also, it would be a lot better if a render of Ayano appeared when *she* was speaking, and vice versa.
