Hey!
So, today I thought I'd upload something akin to what I'd do on either my own project or as a preliminary step on a client project. For this piece here this is for a personal project that may or may not come to fruition, who knows! I often work in this style because it's quicker for me to draw and plan colors as well as define what the character is wearing a bit better for myself before jumping into any kind of painting process. Working with lines and watercolor style washes keeps things pretty simple and gives me a better idea if a concept looks cool without all the fluff of fancy lighting and all that that comes with a polished painting. If your design works at a stage like this then it will likely work at any level of finish. Not to mention I like texture and things that look more traditional so it's very satisfying to work like this for me.
I've attached the PSD for this image so you can look through the layers. Everything with the exception of the adjustment layers(color balance, selective color, and vibrance) were all done in Clip Studio.
Hope this helps!
