Hey!
Hope you're well! I just wanted to share something I worked up for you all yesterday - it's my approach to working through quick, painterly, portraits - this approach takes me around 1-2 hours generally and leans more toward the oldschool rpg aesthetic than the recent My Hero Academia stuff that I shared.
I included a PDF(which is also in the pictures above) that walks you through my process for this style - I find that this is a great way to knock out covers if all you have is a window of a couple days to create a finished piece - it looks relatively done without a crazy amount of over rendering, which is very easy for me to get lost in.
The brushes I used in this approach are from Greg Rutkowski(for the drawing) & Justin Gerard(for the clouds and textures in soft light on skin/clothes)
The printable file is attached to this post - it's a TIFF file, this means it's lossless and you can print the best version possible - please convert this file to CMYK before printing or have your local print shop convert it for you and handle necessary color adjustments!
Thanks as always for your support! I'll be back shortly with a Bloodborne update!
Dave
