January Q&A - pt.1

Watch the video here!

Hey!

Hope you're well! Here's the January Q&A, it's going to be split into two parts because of the sheer amount of questions I go this time around, there were over 80 and we usually only cover around 60 in these, so, to avoid me becoming totally void I decided to do another video either tonight or tomorrow to cover the rest of the questions!

As always, if there's anything from this that you felt didn't totally answer your question and you'd like further clarification, please leave a follow up!

Thanks as always for your support!

Dave

Thanks! This is very helpful!

hey dave, wasn't sure where to ask this so I thought it's worth just doing it here -- why work in 350 dpi vs 300 or 600? thanks in advance!

Henry

Great tips!

Thanks for answering my question, Dave! Lots of great insights from your answers to the other questions as well. Really appreciate you doing these Q&As.

Joseph Verdey

Good stuff, thanks!

A+ response to both of my questions. Thank you! I'm really looking forward to your roadmap for studying the basics, however you follow through on that idea. Also, after I followed your instructions, my zombie horde multiplied until the whole street was teeming with their twisted bodies like a plate full of cockroaches. The brutal carnage they've left in their wake wouldn't have been possible without you! We owe you so much.

Very cool share

Hey Dave, in regards to what you talk about at the end of the video about how there's not a clear roadmap for becoming a good artist, I want to share something I've had bookmarked for a while. It's essentially an art curriculum that someone put together using resources that are available on the internet. Includes the amount of time you should spend on each subject, and covers everything from perspective to color and light. Might be worth checking out for the next time you get asked how to get good haha Here's the link: https://i.redd.it/7ns7su264gp31.png
