Monster Squad - layered PSD + GIF process

Hope you're well! Started these guys last night, wanted to work up some more concept art style stuff for you to check out - I've been doing a lot of that work lately and have been trying a whole bunch of approaches to see what works best for what genre I'm goin for. This style gets closer to what I always had in mind for dark fantasy type work, I'm definitely gonna use this for Magic cards and my current fantasy work on Blackbirds RPG that I've been sharing on here.
For this one I only used one brush - it's a brush I grabbed online from Fenghua Zhong. It's got some great texture to it and is very versatile and handles blending/drawing really well.
Also, you'll maybe be happy to know that I'm gonna stop adjusting all my work the way I've been doing for years and force myself to get used to curves in photoshop hahah, I can imagine that must've been frustrating to watch me do that knowing there's something much more intuitive! But, I'm always open to suggestions to making my workflow better if you have any ideas - I'm pretty dumb when it comes to photoshop!
