Cinderella - 74 - HD

Assessment by the prince's assistant - https://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/cinder-074

"This deck doesn't have nearly enough land. And is this a Mesa Falcon?"

"Sir, we were talking about the fairy situation?"

"His highness's deck has a Mesa Falcon in it. The fairy situation can wait."

Commentary

- Brave sir Elliot faces the... flock, I guess?

- Kindly old Rich, what a guy!

I was intentionally going for "a bit rude" with "flock", but I'm not sure what, if anything, I would have used in its place other than "group". "Group" doesn't sound fancy, and I'm trying to be a fancy writer person, so I'm genuinely going to look it up right now as I'm writing this.

…A "bevy" of women? According to Merriam-Webster, one definition of bevy is a large group or collection, and it can also refer to a group of animals, in particular quail, which are migratory game birds…

If you say so, search, but I think I'm going to explore my options if it ever comes up again.

Comments

Highly recommend “The Synonym Finder” by J.I. Rodale for situations like this. Among the suggestions for “group”: drove, bevy, swarm, shoal, clique, and covey

Clowder, if they're catty enough.
