Commentary
- "I didn't send you a waiter"
In years past, Prince Elliot used to wonder when he was going to be taught how to govern—or, as he had put it then, "how to rule the land". Most of his time, however, seemed to be devoted to playing games. Hide and seek, foot racing, horse racing, martial arts, fencing, improvisational street fighting... It seemed as though all he did was play.
Once he was older, he realized at least a few of the "surprise games" he'd been in had actually been attempts on his life. Only then did Prince Elliot understand what the point of all those other games had been.
He still wished someone had taught him how to govern.
