Epic Marriage Proposal
I'm taking the 25th and 26th off from posting comics this year (meaning I won't be working on Christmas or Christmas Eve).
And so concludes the Rhodopis segment!
Up next: The parody of Cinder--Wait, I just received a note from myself.
Uh-huh. Mm-hm. Really? Huh.
I've just been informed by myself that I'm not sure I can actually call my Cinderella story a parody!
Is that ominous? Maybe it's ominous.
Good thing the version I'm basing things on is public domain, and what I'm doing is very transformative (HA)!
Finding the owner
Presumably, there was something about the sandal that made it identifiable. In the translation I read, the sandal was described as having a "beautiful shape".
I've no idea what that means. Depending on what the sandals actually looked like, maybe they gave visions of nice feet and/or shins?
I don't know. It's a story about a king who got a sandal thrown at him by an eagle and then somehow found the owner. Also, my understanding is it was a challenging translation, so maybe there's something most of us are missing in translation.
It MIGHT not be worth losing sleep over.
