Continued confidence!
While it is true that confidence is not always warranted, when something needs to be done, it can be argued that one may as well embrace confidence for as long as they can to keep themselves motivated.
Schedule note: I had hoped to post a sketchbook this week, but then I had things to deal with that threatened the story comic buffer, and I'm focusing on that.
If I can, the next sketchbook will be late next week, or early the week after. There will be at least one elf.
- Sarah's singing (and it not going well in the next comic)
- Mention of Prince Elliot's sister
It's probably fine.
I wonder about the first panel. How high were opinions of royalty in the past among the general public?
Naturally, it would vary, but if I were to go back in time and manage to conduct a poll without being burned at the stake, would most think highly of royal character, or would it be common to think them little different than commoners? Would seeing them as regular people born into privilege be commonplace, or so discouraged as to be blasphemous?
Kings were claimed to be God's chosen, but how seriously was this actually taken when not face to face with someone who would punish them for saying otherwise?
Come to think of it, fear of reprisal could skew the results of my poll. Perhaps I shouldn't bother. At least I'll save on lumber.
