Naruto: The Outsider's Resolve: Post-ARC-03 Expectations

Welcome to the Post-ARC-03 expectations post!

This post, like the last two posts, will be asking questions about what we want to see in the story moving on. I’ll be taking your replies to this post as a suggestion and making the story better.

Alright, enough of the chit-chat, and let’s get moving.

Point No. 1: Uchiha Is A Shinobi Clan

There are many portrayals of the Uchiha throughout fanon. Some of them portray Uchiha as arrogant bigots consumed by their power. Others show Uchiha as a clan of people who can do no harm, misunderstood and wronged by everyone else.

I’m a fan of a middle ground. If we are to make a version of Uchiha that suits this story, we will have to look at shinobi clans first.

What are some features of shinobi clans that are common across all clans, be it Danzo’s Shimura, Hiruzen’s Sarutobi, Hiashi’s Hyuuga, or Fugaku’s Uchiha— what are those features that should be applied to all clans?

Once we decide that, we can determine what additions we can add upon that are unique to Uchiha based on the clan’s culture (their bloodline and history.) We can even modify some common clan features to suit the Uchiha better.

So, for this point, you guys can focus on the following:

1) Common clan features

2) Uchiha add-ons based on their history

3) Anything else you might want to point out

Point No. 2: The State of Leaf Military Police Force

How Uchiha run their clan is one thing. But running a Police Force should be a different matter because the Police Force is not only the Uchiha but also their ally clans like the Fuma clan.

Now, the question here is what should be the Police Force’s structure and operational methods? Do they work like a US police precinct? Uniformed Cops­—> Detectives—> Sergeant—> Lieutenant—> Captain—> Chief. Or should it be something else? I have my own thoughts about how I want to show it, but I don’t want to influence your thoughts with mine.

Does the Police Force have departments that deal with different crimes? Or does everyone do a little of everything?

Point No. 3: What Do They Do?

This could’ve been merged with the last point, but I decided to make it a separate point.

Takuma’s first C-rank mission featured the Police Force, and in that mission, we saw that the Police Force dealt with civilian matters. This means that Leaf Military Police Force is the only policing authority because we know they have power over shinobi.

The question for this point is what kind of missions are you guys are hoping to see— and equally importantly how much do you guys want to see Takuma playing a policeman?

Point No. 4: B-Plots

The entirety of this post had been about the Uchiha and Police Force. And while ARC-04 is going to be set in the Police Force, I don't want it to be all that is shown.

B-Plots are storylines that are shown apart from the main plot which for the purpose of this ARC-04 is going to be Takuma's life in the Police Force. I have 1 B-Plot storyline figured out which I want to cover.

What are your expectations for the other storylines?

This is too broad of a question, and I'm not expecting an answer to this question because figuring B-plots are an author's basic responsibility.
