Althea's interrogation - Video out (link below) + storyline + bunch of things

-Usual debrief:

Here we are, finally! No joking, many dumb things have happened during the last 2-3 days. First of all, I couldn't render. It just kept crashing (I usually render overnight, since it takes 10 hours a video). After various attempts, I managed to find a compromise: I had to temporarily tune down the resolution (now FHD) and increasing the samples. It really does bother me because 2k is just better, but I worked to improve image quality in some other way. The files are now much heavier (download them, drive will struggle a lot).

Then, while I was uploading the files on drive, a lighting strike in a 10-minute storm cooked my modem (you're prohibited to laugh). So yeah, here we are ahah

"Samus" and POV will be up during the next few days, they're also alternative cameras so I need to test them. Folders will be rearranged for good, but since I'm short on internet GB I can update the whole link only when the new modem arrives ahah

Oh, her eyes used an "enhanced" shader that ended up looking too dark in the final render (literally suffering from success). Since it would take 10+10 hours to render it again, I'll just release the files as they are and then I'll correct them in the next days.

I hate the freaking daz hair material, I'll find a way to make it rendering prettier.

Now, let's talk about the positive aspects ahah: 

I renewed the animating process, much more fluidity (also, switched from 24 to 30 fps). I think that's the way: I know where the problems lay and I'll focus correcting them.

New physics, extensive use of shape keys is expected (thinking about face animation also, given bones look insufficient). Maybe testing a proper lipsyncing addon next time?

New model for dialogs: it was an experiment, but the final choice is between this and texts (they may come back, but in a totally different fashion).

New models, plenty of possibilities for the future. I'd like to create the next character together.

Oh, eevee NEXT gave back some terrible, glitchy shadows: not worth it until it's out the alpha state.

-The story, and the rules of the game (TW: war, violence):

(Pardon me for any mistake, I'm tired and it's late here ahah)

-RULES: long story short, Verse369 is a futuristic, warlike world: and in this world, some guy happened to f*ck up once. The entire scenario is populated by warriors, warlords, realms and tribes in war with each other. One of them went for the peaceful, all-galz one, he will take the L. They won't stop at him ☠️☠️☠️

Yes it's the sterotypical medieval scenario, yes every character you may think of does exist here, yes this can be a lot fun for as simple as it is :)

Characters can either be ehm...taken out or submitted (prisoner status). A civilization dies when the entire population is taken out/submitted. The latter can happen via ☠️
or submitting the leader.

Most of the males will be Generic™ (a classic), following the "class pattern". But for the specific ones I need for the story to proceed, the females will be created together ex polls.

I'll make long-story-shorts each time. You don't need to follow the scripted part, it's just to have a laugh (and for the L O R E).

-STORY (again, don't take it seriously, it's willingfully dramatic and over the top ahah): Another world, another time.

"Not much time had passed since the last triumphant campaign: a small corner of land had been won. The plundered resources hadn't been worth the losses; the internal political gains, though, had been glorious. 

Glorious, and necessary. Necessary because when it comes to leading a hierarchy of warriors, it's either deliver or be delivered. And there are plenty of blunt brutes who think they can crack the whip better than you. 

It's the same for any warlord. 

And it's under that sky that "The Ruler, II" did cast his orders. Due to his prudence, his ego, and a keen awareness of the context he moves in, nobody can really tell who rules the Xkor. What's certain is that whoever they are, they're there to stay. 

Eager to replicate the glories of the past, their interest turned toward a younger, relatively unknown, all-female civilization. Unknown, it's said, because they weren't looking particularly fond of dealing with outsiders; to add over that, consequence of their gendered status, princes and lords welcomed each encounter with a paternalistic attitude.

They went for an easy prey, but they encountered resistance.

Prisoners were taken, and who knows what's to come."

-Video's context:

The bud is a mid-value prisoner, which submitted after a fight he'd lost. Althea's in charge of forcing him to talk, but after all, she's just some gal that wanna have fun (give her da informations man 😤😤😤)

This animation is intended to serve as sample: we can have fights and execs (as this one), thinking about loops and short finishers here and there. Will poll about.
