Weekly Status Update

The next story post will be another chapter in Quaranteam. It's currently a little over five thousand words long, and still has a significant bit of writing left to do in it, so it's likely to be closer to 10k when I post it, which is the good news, but it's also likely to be either Friday or Saturday before it's ready, which is the bad news. But it's been a great chapter so far, and I'm really happy with it. Some long absent familiar faces will make a return, and we start to meet some of the new additions to the Rook household.
The plotting for the next 3-5 chapters for QT has come almost unnervingly easy to me, but I'm choosing to look at that as a good sign rather than let my standard paranoia creep in. Both of the two major factions of my readers (the pro-plot people vs. the pro-sexy time people) will find something for them in each of these chapters, although some of you may be a little annoyed by the planned cliffhanger for the end of 30, but it'll give people things to look forward to and speculate on in between the chapters. 30/31 has been on the roadmap since around 15 or so, and I'm very much looking forward to writing it. Originally it was going to be one chapter, but the fun of splitting it into two is simply too much for me to resist.
There are two days left in the first poll, and of the small number of you who can vote (the t3 patrons and above) only one of you has cast a vote so far, so you have a little bit of time to cast a vote if you haven't. If nothing changes, then the next chapter of QT will be the project for next week, and the next chapter of Brewster's Brood the week after that (which will be a whopper of a chapter, I imagine).

You know, that's absolutely a great point. Thanks for the idea! Sometime tonight, I'll update the pinned post to include brief summaries of each story concept, and links to the tags that will bring up all the story posts.
