12/29 - Weekly Update - Between East And Standard Time
Added 2021-12-29 23:05:33 +0000 UTCHey team. Yep, it happened. I'm behind schedule. We all knew it had to happen at some point, but I'm starting to get things back towards being on track, and by the end of next week, everything should be back to mostly normal in terms of output, now that I'm back on the West Coast again, and not constantly having to be sure I'm not breathing in a plague while I travel, which was most of the last week. In addition to that, the day job got in the way a bit, as I suddenly got a handful of things that needed immediate attention, and when the money speaks, I have to listen.
I'm a bit behind on Brewster's Brood 6 (which was planned for yesterday), but I'm about 2k into it, and expect I should be able to get it out sometime late tonight or early tomorrow. My usual Tuesday and Wednesday evening appointments have cancelled for the week, so that gave me a bit of time to get some extra work done. After that, I have a commissioned work to get done. Once that's done, I will move onto The Threadbinders 1, my first erotic fantasy piece (as chosen by the poll), which is looking like probably 1/1 or 1/2. There's a slight chance I could get it done for Friday, but at this point I don't want to overpromise. New things usually flow pretty easily to me, but right now, I'm still recovering from all the travel and typical family drama that comes from Christmas, so let's be cautious in setting our expectations, and if I come in early, well, cool.
Next Tuesday (1/4) will definitely be another slice out of Old Times, because next Friday is going to be QT35, on 1/7 (again, as per poll decision), and by that point, I suspect everything will be mostly back within expected timeframe, with BB7 set for 1/11 and If I'm Honest 8 on the calendar for 1/14.
I'll also be throwing up the poll for deciding what I'm writing for 1/21 a little later today, for Tier 3/4 subscribers. As per how the polls have been working so far, QT will be off the list, since it won the first poll for January, and again, as we do in the second poll of the month, you only get to vote on one option. IIH also won't be in the list, since it's guaranteed a chapter this month already. The poll will be open for a week, and if you're a T1/2 subscriber who wants to exert a big amount of influence about what I do in a month, consider upgrading, because each vote carries a lot of weight. There was a tie between Threadbinders (the new piece) and Morgana's Gift in the last poll, and a single vote would've decided it either way. (As I've said, on tie votes, I decide.)
Thanks again to everyone for being chill about my chaotic Christmas/year end. I'm still learning about what I can and can't manage in terms of time and content creation, and it means a lot that everyone's okay with the bumps in the road. Anyway, back to the writing desk. For the music of the week, I leave you with a Midwestern band that not enough people have heard of, The Get Up Kids.
