I've been following the VFXgrace animal vfx course for the last few weeks, I'm creating this feral wolf model (that'll certainly get some renders done upon completion hehe) and I've already been learning quite a few new sculpting techniques that'll get applied to my future anthro models also. New blockout techniques that are much better than what I was doing before too! I'm wrapping up the sculpting portion soon. I'm hoping the experience gained on this project will ready me for my next anthro character commission near the new year. I'd love to get my model time down to a month or less but that's a goal that'll take a lot of work!
I've also read a couple of anatomy books and done a few studies, I understand human anatomy much better now. Honestly I feel like I was going in blind before, now I have much more knowledge and experience to apply onto my future models.
My plan now is to begin a personal anthro character around half way through this course, and follow the rest of it on both the feral example piece and the anthro simultaneously to get as much experience as I can.
I'll share more WIPs as I go of course and I hope these updates are appreciated in the absence of my usual content (I'll be doing much more of my expected content once I'm through this batch of goals and projects)
